Begin turns a domain or a sentence into a finished product. Paste a URL and it fetches the source, reads the design tokens out of it, rewrites the copy, generates the imagery and builds you a site you own. Describe an app instead and it builds that. The same brief can be targeted at a website, an iOS app, an Android app or a Chrome extension, and you keep iterating in plain language until it is right.

A credit is one unit of build work. Every plan grants the same 100 credits a month and they all buy the same thing — the tiers differ on the workspace around them, not on what a credit is worth. Both paid plans roll unused credits into the next month, so a quiet month is not money thrown away.

Starting a project spends 5 credits, because a first build is the expensive one: it fetches the source, extracts the tokens, writes the copy and renders a full preview. Every change you ask for afterwards costs 1, whether it moves one button or adds a whole section. Reading, browsing and downloading your own code cost nothing.

A failed build is refunded automatically — you are never charged for something you did not receive.

One real first build, with no card. That is the point of the number: five credits is exactly one build, so a new account can paste a domain, watch the preview land and judge the output before paying for anything. Follow-up changes and further projects need a plan.

You must own the site you clone, or have the right to copy it. Begin is a build tool, not a licence — pointing it at a competitor’s homepage does not give you rights to their brand, their logo, their photography or their words, and you are the one responsible for what you point it at.

What we do to reduce the overlap: the copy is rewritten rather than lifted, and the imagery is generated rather than downloaded. What that does not do is clear trademarks or a distinctive trade dress. Use it on your own properties, on work you were commissioned to rebuild, or as a layout study you then make yours. Yearly is a separate plan at ten times the monthly price, which is two months free — $490 a year instead of $588, and $990 instead of $1,188. It is charged once, up front, and the monthly credit grant is unchanged: 100 credits arrive every month for twelve months. Switching between monthly and yearly is a plan change in the billing portal.

Yes, from inside the product, without emailing anyone. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your projects and their code stay readable and downloadable. We do not pro-rate part periods; if something went genuinely wrong, write to us and we will sort it out.
